Making Money from Niche Affiliate Programs and Exact Match Domains

Making money online may seem like a very difficult task, but to those savvy to the way how online marketing works may be able to really make things work for them. One way affiliate marketers tend to make money online is to find a narrow niche that can be easy to convert, and because pay outs are lower than say our previously covered affiliate ideas, such as the ISA affiliate one, the competition is less fierce.

So how do we go about it?

Using SEMRush to data mine random sites.

SEM Rush is an awesome tool that lets you plug in sites and see where they rank, and what the Google adwords CPCs are. To start using it, register on the SEMrush website as a free user.

Next, plug in any site of your choice.

My girlfriend’s sister was going on holiday with her kids, and was looking for sun protection clothing for her baby. Now I never realised that baby sun protection clothes and swimwear even existed! So I looked at the site she bought her outfits from and ran that through SEM Rush:

As you can see, “baby swimwear” has a decent size search volume (for niche sites I like to concentrate on 2000 and under searches a month but over 400). Pulling up  Google’s Keyword tool, I identified some associated keywords:

Nice – not to competitive I don’t think. Now let’s see if any exact match domain names exist:

BINGO! I am now armed with keyword data, good domains, and now all I need is to build a decent site, join a couple f baby affiliate programs, push the site in search engines (with low searches, ranking is easier) and see where it takes me.

Total cost? $40 for the site and content, maybe $100 on links and 3 hours of my time. It should make more money back than that…
